Fifties Inspired Fashion Shoot

& First Post!     

   I had started this blog in February and never found the time to post, but now it’s time for my first post, so here goes nothing...

 Ever since I a little I’ve had my hand at styling, from bossily dressing up my friends, brother and little boy cousins  in pink tutus and flower crowns and the entire contents of your typical 7 years old's dressing up box, to creating outfits for my Barbie dolls out of fabric samples, ribbon and hair- bands. There is no doubt about it I’ve always loved dressing either it be myself or friends.

 I was delighted when my college tutor set me the task of styling a photo shoot over the summer, as I was planning to do one anyway. I already had a theme and model in mind.

  The 1950s is one of one of my favourite eras, full of classic shapes, feminine sophistication, fun and beautiful rich pastel shades, it’s also so on trend right now with people like Lana Del Rey bringing it into street fashion. I think the shoot not only reflects the current trend and 1950s but is very much a showcase of my my personal style.

 The shoot took part over two days consisting of 3 different outfits and locations. My friend Olivia did a wonderful job of modelling these looks, with her amazing jaw line and luscious locks. 

 Thanks  also to both Beth and Lizzie who photographed these shoots, doing a fantastic job of it .
